We’re pleased to announce that our parent company, Pivot International, has experienced such rapid growth in US, Asian and European markets over the past few years, that it became necessary to relocate its Lenexa, KS-based global headquarters to a significantly larger space. The new corporate headquarters doubles the square footage of office space, expands the in-house electronic engineering lab, and greatly increases the capabilities of its on-site manufacturing and distribution center.
In addition to Mid-Continent Custom Electronics, Pivot International is currently the parent company of nine other subsidiaries and manufacturing facilities, five of which have been acquired just in the last three years. In January 2016, the company purchased our firm, Mid-Continent Custom Electronics (MCCE). Then in March 2016, DigitTron was added to the portfolio, followed by Avatar Engineering in May 2017 and Electronic Design and Manufacturing (EDM) in September 2017. Pivot most recently acquired WideBlue, a full-service, multi-disciplinary product design and development firm based in Glasgow, Scotland.
In addition, Pivot International encompasses 6 other facilities with offices in the UK and Asia. The UK office supports the European market; the Hong Kong office supports the Asian market and the four company-owned supply chain, engineering, and manufacturing facilities in Manila, Taiwan and Shenzhen produce product solutions for clients from all over the world.
